Annual Registration Fee: $35 per student
"NSF" Check Fee: $40 per occurrence. Additional penalty fees may apply for "NSF" and late and/or incomplete tuition payments.
Private Class Cancel Policy: cancellation/postponement notification required no less than 8 hours prior to appointment for any Private Class. A penalty fee of $25.00 will be applied to Tuition balance for no-shows or cancellation within 8 hours of appointment time. Full terms and conditions detailed below.
Payment Methods: Masterpiece Dance Theatre accepts all major credit cards and cash for all payments and fees. Personal Check acceptance is at the discretion of the directors.
Masterpiece Dance Theatre, TERMS & CONDITIONS (subject to change without prior written notification)
All fees, but not limited to: Use of Facility; Tuition, Registration, Merchandise, etc., are to be made payable to Masterpiece Dance Theatre, unless otherwise directed in writing. There are No Refunds and we are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.Participants electing to pay for, but not limited to, Use of Facility Fees; Tuition, Merchandise, and other services purchased by credit card, herein waive their right to contest credit card charges which have been previously signed by any credit card account holder (sales, purchases, etc.) and/or that have been verbally authorized over the telephone by any credit card account holder. Masterpiece Dance Theatre will gladly review any discrepancies arising from one or more of the following: credit card charges, attendance records, book keeping, and tuition payment records.
Balances left unpaid on Tuition, merchandise, and other services, over a thirty day period may be placed in the hands of a collection agency. Interest will accrue at the rate of 18% per month based upon the remaining unpaid balance. Additional penalties may apply depending upon the number of classes any participant may have attended, or continue to attend.
An eight hour cancellation/postponement rule is in effect for Private class participants. In the event the facility does not receive the requisite eight hours notice, credit for that booked/scheduled Private class will have been forfeited. There is a limit of two postponements per week regardless of the number of Private classes booked and scheduled, and Masterpiece Dance Theatre does not condone regular observation of their children in classes, however, parents may request written evaluations of their children based upon a minimum of six hours or greater of un-interrupted class attendance per week, given an entire year of study (holidays excluded).
It should be understood that we consider, but not limited to, ballet and other “movement based” programs/classes which may be offered and instructed at Masterpiece Dance Theatre demand strenuous activity on the part of any Registrant/participant and therefore, may not be suitable for all individuals. We reserve the right to refuse service.
It is common practice for individual instructor(s) to demonstrate and or physically position various portions of the physical anatomy, including, but not limited to, arms, limbs, hips, and other associated parts of the body, in order to facilitate and or otherwise support the practical methodology on the part of any instructor. In the event you do not want to be physically handled at any time during a class, please make your wishes known to the instructor immediately.
We highly recommend that Registrants/participants with previous experience and training in other Ballet and dance styles and or methods of training, to please refrain from making general comparisons between the methodological differences and results thereof. It is noted herein that “sore muscles” and or a change in musculature, may naturally be the result of an ongoing or new physical training regime.
Parents with children 7 years of age or younger must be present in the facility, however, not necessarily within the training area at the time of each the lesson(s). Parents may elect to send a legal guardian and or other care giver in their place. In this situation, the individuals name, address, and telephone number must be supplied to the MDT administration.
Students and parents registering with Masterpiece Dance Theatre, however, who have had previous dance instruction at other schools, dance academies, and the like, within the Southern California region, are generally placed on a six month probationary period prior to being fully matriculated into any program/class. Masterpiece Dance Theatre considers attendance in any program/class offered and or promoted by us to be a privilege, therefore, attendance, aptitude, and behavior are carefully accessed and monitored. Private lessons, although generally more expensive and time consuming, are generally recommended to students pursuing either slower paced study, or, an accelerated, pre-professional training environment (which may include performing opportunities and competitive events) and they will need to commit to a comprehensive schedule, via “contract”, potentially above and beyond the scope of the disclosures herein given.
Additionally, in the event that you feel great discomfort at any time during the training regime, you are recommended to terminate the activity immediately. Following terminating the activity, explain your condition to your instructor in order that may assist in evaluating your condition, and if necessary, may recommend immediate emergency medical attention. You may elect to, on your own accord however, depart the facility for immediate medical attention. Masterpiece Dance Theatre, if requested, will also assist you in any obvious medical emergency, however, we cannot guarantee your medical safety /condition prior to you being attended to by a professional physician and medical doctor. You are recommended to first Call 911 in any medical emergency.
Masterpiece Dance Theatre may elect to, but not limited to, mail and or email statements, in relation to Tuition, and other pertinent information, and promotional materials to participants and their families.
The company’s name, logo, training syllabus, and other forms of trademark are copyright protected, and the company’s name and the names of its directors, performers, and the like, may not be used without prior written consent from the directors.
Policies are subject to change. Polices, may, but are not limited to, being listed on the companies official website (www.balletla.com), handbooks, flyers, new program literature, and other promotional materials. The names of programs, classes, and instructors, are subject to change, as are Schedules subject to change.
The company reserves the right to refuse service. Facility Use Permit(s) may be revoked at any time and financial arrangements are to be confirmed under separate cover, however, the balance of the disclosures and agreement remain in force nonetheless.
Masterpiece Dance Theatre (also known as West Coast Classical Ballet Society) its directors, and instructors thereof, the Vaganova Ballet System, Ltd., and The Bernard Company are released any and all Liability which may have resulted from my/company Use of the Facility for the purposes of, but not limited to: holding rehearsals and classes and or participation thereof, and other such events taking place at any time.
